Mr. Thakar was the founder of THAKARSONS & Mentor of our company which has established a very high reputation for excellence in product development and innovation. He had years of experience of developing components & formulating quality standards at the national (ISI) and international (IEC) fora. His guiding influence in the formative years paved the way for excellence in quality of our products

Atul K Thakar

Atul Thakar, Managing Director of SVel Sensors & Controls Pvt. Ltd. is a B.Tech (Electrical Engineering – Electronics) from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. A chartered engineer and a senior Member of the Institution of Engineers (MIE), & a Fellow of the Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (FIETE), he is a merit certificate scholar from IIT, and a Hindu-Hitachi Scholar of 1975 when he underwent 9 months practical training in Hitachi factories in Japan with special focus on Quality of products and systems, and was invited to present a paper on Creative Management in Japan, at the 2 week Management Seminar Program in 1982. A recipient of the Dr Dharwadkar Entrepreneurial Excellence Award in 1995, Atul Thakar has presented a paper at the National Conference on Test Engineering & Metrology at Bangalore in 1999, on Testing of Thermistors, and consequently attended the Essential Metrology workshop in UK in Nov 1999.
