SVel Sensors & Controls Pvt Ltd is a part of the THAKARSONS Group which was incepted in the year 1971 and engaged in supplying a wide range of world class Thermistors, RTD’s, Sensors and Foil Heaters manufactured by the Group units. Under the leadership of Promoter K R Thakar THAKARSONS achieved enormous technical success which can very well be gauged by the awards and certifications we have received in the last 38 years.

SVel products are widely appreciated by companies of high repute in various industries like Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, Building automation, Industrial Instrumentation, and others owing to their high quality and reliability. These Thermistors, RTD’s, Sensors and Foil Heaters are manufactured in our ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturing facilities situated in Pune. Mr. Thakar is the founder of THAKARSONS & Mentor of our company which is now ruling the roost in the concerned sphere. He has years of experience of developing components & formulating quality standards at the national (ISI) and international (IEC) fora. His guiding influence in the formative yearspaved the way for excellence in quality of our products

Atul K Thakar

Atul Thakar, Managing Director of SVel Sensors & Controls Pvt Ltd is a B.Tech (Electrical Engineering – Electronics) from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. A chartered engineer and a senior Member of the Institution of Engineers (MIE), & a Fellow of the Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (FIETE), he is a merit certificate scholar from IIT, and a Hindu-Hitachi Scholar of 1975 when he underwent 9 months practical training in Hitachi factories in Japan and was invited to present a paper on Creative Management in Japan, at the 2 week Management Seminar Program in 1982. A recipient of the Dr Dharwadkar Entrepreneurial Excellence Award in 1995, Atul Thakar has presented a paper at the National Conference on Test Engineering & Metrology at Bangalore in 1999, on Testing of Thermistors, and consequently attended the Essential Metrology workshop in UK in Nov 1999.
